CoQ10 for male fertility is the piece most men skip. They run HCG after a cycle, their sperm count comes back on paper, and their partner still doesn’t get pregnant. That happens because count is only half the story. The other half is quality: how well the sperm move, how they are shaped and how intact their DNA is. That half runs on mitochondria, and mitochondria run on CoQ10. The book uses it in the PCT and fertility protocols, in the fertility chapter and in the brain chapter, so this page puts all of it in one place.
CoQ10, or coenzyme Q10, is a molecule your body makes and uses inside every mitochondrion. It is part of the chain that turns food into ATP, the energy currency of your cells, and it is also one of your body’s own antioxidants.
It comes in two forms. Ubiquinone is the oxidized form most cheap supplements contain. Ubiquinol is the reduced, active form, the one your cells actually use. The book uses ubiquinol.
A sperm cell has three parts: the head, which carries the DNA; the tail, which moves it; and a short midpiece in between, packed with mitochondria. That midpiece is the engine, because it makes the ATP that powers the tail.
CoQ10 concentrates right there, so when there is not enough of it, sperm move slowly or not at all.
Besides that, CoQ10 also protects sperm from reactive oxygen species. High levels of these unstable molecules in semen damage sperm membranes and break their DNA. So CoQ10 works on fertility from two sides: more energy to swim, and less damage to the cargo.
This is the most common mistake in the book’s PCT chapter. Men rely on HCG alone to restore fertility. HCG and HMG bring sperm count back, but count is only a number on a lab sheet. Pregnancy needs sperm that move well, have the right shape and carry intact DNA.
That is why the book’s rule is simple: include mitochondrial support always. CoQ10 for male fertility, together with L-carnitine and antioxidants, is what restores quality. Both halves matter for a pregnancy.
