The epitalon dosage in my book is 10 mg a day for 10 days, twice a year. It’s the peptide I use on the telomere pathway, the circadian pathway, and as the anchor of the Khavinson bioregulator reset. The hair bonus runs it on a different schedule, every 2 to 3 days in 20-day cycles. Epitalon is a four-amino-acid peptide from Russian research, built to act on the pineal gland and on telomeres. This page covers both schedules, what the telomere studies actually show, the human data, and where the FDA stands after the July 2026 vote.

  • Epitalon is a synthetic four-amino-acid peptide, built from a pineal gland extract by Vladimir Khavinson’s group.
  • The book’s epitalon dosage: 10 mg a day for 10 days, twice a year. The hair bonus uses 10 mg every 2 to 3 days, in 20-day cycles.
  • The telomere data is from cells in a dish and animals. A 2025 lab study found longer telomeres, partly in cancer cell lines.
  • The best human mortality study tested the pineal extract, not epitalon itself.
  • In July 2026, an FDA panel voted 7 to 5 to allow compounding. That isn’t final.

What Epitalon Is

Epitalon (also spelled epithalon) is a tiny peptide: four amino acids, alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and glycine. Researchers in St. Petersburg, led by Vladimir Khavinson, made it as a synthetic copy of the active part of epithalamin, an extract from the pineal gland.

Later, Khavinson called these short peptides “bioregulators.” His idea is that each one targets a specific organ. In the longevity chapter, I describe epitalon as the pineal bioregulator: it’s meant to restore melatonin, reset circadian rhythm and switch on telomerase, the enzyme that rebuilds telomeres.

First, the basics: telomeres are the caps on the ends of your chromosomes. They get shorter with every cell division, and when they run out, the cell stops dividing. That’s why the book calls them the genetic fuse.

The Epitalon Dosage in the Book

The book gives two schedules. The longevity chapter uses 10 mg a day for 10 days, twice a year. That same course shows up on the telomere pathway, the circadian pathway, the bioregulator protocol, my 80/20 Protocol and the Forever Protocol.

However, the hair bonus uses a different rhythm: 10 mg every 2 to 3 days, injected into the muscle or under the skin, in 20-day cycles, 2 to 3 times a year.

So the working epitalon dosage is short courses, not a daily drug. Below are the full epitalon dosage table, the course math, the telomere evidence, the melatonin data, the human study, side effects, who should skip it and the FDA status.
